Horse Basics Masterclass

I’ll pull back the curtain and reveal exactly how my horses are banging at the gate for training with my own unique approach

Buy a new saddle they said… your horse will stop bucking in no time. Get a softer bit. Better yet, go bitless! Swap feeds. Try this supplement. Go barefoot. Change stables if your horse isn’t happy If you’re like most horse owners, you’re thinking, “I bought my horse because we had a connection, not because I wanted to win a world show” But even with your standards low, there’s no progress. Most horse owners feel like no one understands, alone & ashamed about their problems & lack of skills, with no real support that they can sustain when the ‘professional’ trainer/clinician goes home. You’re strong in your beliefs… have invested time & energy in your kind philosophy towards horses… yet somehow along the way, no one ever taught you how to actually MAKE PROGRESS. I’ve consistently mentored students to train their horses themselves. Turn disrespectful horses to polite horses Turn anxious horses to trusting horse. Turn bored horses into interested horses. I promise, it doesn’t have to be hard and it can be fun too. Check out my masterclass...where I’ll share the exact strategies horse owners are using to work with their horses in complete kindness without treats, or tricks. Just plain common good sense.

What students said about the original course.

Sharon's experience with the course.

If you haven't already joined the Sherry Jarvis on line study courses I highly recommend it! For me, this has been a life saver over these last 3 winter months! I have not been able to work with or ride my horses and yet I wanted to continue my learning of good horsemanship and be ready for spring when I am reunited with my horses.Even without a horse to practice with at the moment I can visualize myself completing the assignments and instead of worrying about what I am physically doing, I can take time to actually think through the process and mentally tackle each of the concepts we are learning about. The information that Sherry gives in her course work is very specific and she even provides videos to clarify. Students are encouraged to share videos as well and her feedback is prompt, encouraging and helpful! Watching the instructor and student videos also keeps me included in the process. The audio conferencing that we do weekly allows the students and instructor to connect in a very personal way. The discussions are invaluable! I have signed up for all of the courses! I can't wait to get back to Nebraska, bring my horses home and practice all of the great things I am learning! I feel confident that I can follow Sherry's instructions to become much better at horsemanship! These courses have highly motivated me……can you tell? I love Sherry's enthusiasm and love of horsemanship. She strives to improve herself so that she can help others. Her instruction for me has improved my confidence, appreciation for the horse and my skills are growing as well. I have always told her that I wished I could just take her home in my pocket!!!!

Here is what Kathy had to say about the on-line study course:

Kathy Lewis

"I have ridden horses all of my life, and we now are raising horses. I signed up for Sherry's on-line courses to help me develop my skills in training young horses in those important pre-riding skills. The courses are helping me see new ways to develop confidence and a willingness to learn in those babies. The courses are well organized and she provides excellent videos that demonstrate the exercises and we can also video tape ourselves doing the exercises for Sherry and the class to view. I am truly enjoying the whole thing. I've participated in two of her clinics in past years, and always came away with new skills and a better understanding of horses. But the on-line courses are even better! They provide a sustained learning experience. As with all learning, if you don't use it right away, you forget it...it never gets to be a part of what you do so there is no change over time. I get pretty excited about the exercises and can't wait to get out and start practicing...even in the cold weather we've been having!"

I want to take this opportunity to thank Sherry Jarvis

Leigh Ann Smelker

for creating and developing her on-line study course! I started with her the very first year and have had the pleasure of watching it get better and better each year. The course is for any level of horseman, weather beginner or advanced, and anywhere in between! Sherry has it all covered in a well written and step by step detailed way to present learning to your horse. There are videos with each lesson and prompt review of the student submitted videos, not to mention the audio conferences that give you interaction with other students and a lesson led by Sherry! I have learned so much from Sherry thru clinics, private lessons and now the on-line study course! She develops not only a persons horsemanship skills but instills the student with confidence and enthusiasm to help the human understand the horse! Well done, Sherry!

2 Things make this course great!

Barbara GoodSmall

I think there are two things that make this course what it is. First, Sherry has a tremendous amount of expertise; not only has she put in the time with horses, but she is constantly learning and improving herself. The second thing is that as a former teacher, she’s highly skilled at communicating the content to her students. Would I rather be at her place taking personal instruction? Of course! But that’s not possible, on several levels, to do for any sustained length of time. Doing the classes this way motivates me to actually get out there with my horses on a daily basis, thus creating some good habits and a much more organized approach to my learning over the entire year. A bonus is that I’m also making some great connections to other people with a common interest – becoming the best we can be for our horses! I am so glad I made the decision to commit to this class, it’s one of the best things I could’ve done for myself and for my partners! And did I mention that we are having fun?!!!

There are only two kinds of people: Those who love horses and those who don't. This book is definitely for those who do love horses, whether you own one or not. Sherry's passion and love for horses has driven her to write a book which will change your way of thinking and acting so you can win any horse's heart. When a horse gives you his whole heart he will jump higher, run faster, stop quicker, slide further, spin better, and be safer. There is nothing you can't do together when a horse becomes a part of you. Dreams are sure to come true to those who follow the common sense principles presented in this book, with real life stories to support the practices.
